Miller’s Rest is an upscale neighborhood tavern located in the heart of San Francisco. Our space is beautifully designed to be welcoming and comfortable, and our staff will see to it that your event goes smoothly and successfully. From wedding receptions to birthday parties to board meetings; we can tailor an event to fit just about any need.
Featuring updated versions of American comfort food (fried chicken, mac and cheese, meatloaf); our kitchen is focused on providing a warm and inviting experience. The full bar offers a list of craft cocktails that are based on classics, but modernized for a more contemporary palette. We’ve also got a robust wine list that highlights both old and new-world regions, as well as a beer list with primarily domestic craft options.
Holiday parties, wedding receptions, corporate dinners, etc.; we can close the restaurant to the public and provide you with an experience that will help make your event a success. With a complete buyout, you will have full access to both private parlors, our main dining room and bar area. Our team will work with you to select a service style that will best fit your event: formal seated meal, full dinner buffet, open bar, wine pairings, specially created cocktails to fit your theme, etc.
This semi-private room is open to the bar and features a more relaxed atmosphere with couches, armchairs, and coffee tables. It is primarily used by groups looking to “cocktail” and socialize, rather than sit and eat a meal. Food is certainly served in our parlors, but it is usually best served in a buffet/family style, with small plates so that people can share and mingle. Many groups prefer this space, as they can use it as a home base and still have the option to spill out into the bar.
The Sunset Room is completely private, in the upper rear of the restaurant. It usually works best for 8-10 people, but can seat up to 14 with additional chairs brought up. It features a more relaxed atmosphere with couches, armchairs, and coffee tables. It is primarily used by groups looking for a bit more privacy, such as board meetings, company off-sites, etc. Food is usually best served in a buffet/family style, with small plates so that people can share and mingle.
The Main Dining Room features a long banquette and a broad mix of possible tables, chairs, high-tops and stools that can be configured in countless ways to meet your event’s needs. Rent just a portion of the area or the entire room; this space works great for parties looking for a more formal, seated meal, or we can remove the tables for a larger standing-room-only type of event. Once the layout is determined, our staff will work with you to customize the menu and service style to match.
